Siamo nel sud del Piemonte, a poca strada da Alessandria e Genova, non lontano da Milano.
E' il Golf Club Villa Carolina, situato nel Monferrato, tra dolci colline il cui clima sempre mite è influenzato dalle correnti del mar Ligure.
2 percorsi da campionato, da 18 e 9 buche, che da ottobre diventeranno 36, percorso la Marchesa e percorso Paradiso.
Villa Carolina è nel centro di un parco secolare, dal fascino antico in cui la natura gioca un ruolo quasi magico.
Provate le 18 buche, il percorso La Marchesa, impegnativo ma adatto a tutte le abilità.
Ogni buca è interessante ma la 8, par 5 da 450 metri, presenta un bel lago a difesa del green, sulla sinistra, che rende l'approccio "da brivido".
Poco dopo arriva la 11, hcp 1, par 4 da 400 metri che lascia pochissimo spazio agli errori. Betulle sulla destra e sulla sinistra e 2 bunker a difesa del green.
In generale un bel campo, da mettere nella lista dei "da andarci giocare".
La struttura è completa in tutte le sue parti, dalla club house al pro shop, al ristorante in cui si possono gustare, nel periodo autunnale, prelibatezze come funghi e tartufi. I vini sono un marchio distintivo, prodotti della cascina, come il Barbera, il Dolcetto e il Cortese.
La foresteria ha 20 stanze, in stile d'epoca che hanno quel piacevole e rilassante sapore di una volta.
Consigliato, da provare.

This time the golf course is in the South of Piedmont, between Alessandria and Genova, not so far from Milano.
It's the GC Villa Carolina, in the Monferrato area, where the temperature is often mild, thanks to the Ligurian sea.
The course has 27 holes, that in October are going to be 36, the Marchesa course and the Paradiso course, entirely inside an ancient park.
I played the Marchesa course, the 18 holes, challenging but for every ability.
Each hole is different and it gives different feelings. To mention the hole 8, par 5 450 mt., that has a lake on the left just before the green, that force a scary approach.
After, the hole 11 is the hcp1, par 4 400 mt.. No room for mistakes. Trees on both sides and 2 bunkers on the green sides.
Very interesting course, to play at least ones in a life time.
All the amenities are top level, as the club house and the pro shop, the restaurant offers its customers the typical specialties of this land, as truffles and mushrooms, typical wines like Barbera, Dolcetto and Cortese.
The hotel has 20 rooms in a ancient style in total tranquility and relax.
