In Piemonte, vicino a Torino, a Carmagnola, il Golf Club I Girasoli è un circolo informale perfetto per giocare, passare una giornata tra amici oppure, se si viene da fuori, per vivere un lungo week end ospiti della foresteria, ricavata da un antico cascinale.
Il ristorante è in perfetto stile "osteria", sinonimo di "qui si mangia bene", offre piatti tipici della zona ed è gestito da giovani capaci, simpatici e molto cordiali. Ottimo sia per un pranzo veloce, che per una cena più "strutturata" con antipasti, primi, secondi, dolce e ovviamente vino.
Il campo: 18 buche, par 71. I fairway sono curati e lasciati nuturali, i green sono ottimi, su più livelli e per fare 2 putt devi metterla vicino.
L'acqua è presente su più buche e capita di perdere qualche pallina, se non si gioca in maniera precisa.
Tra le buche simbolo ci sono la 6, chiamata "L'isola": par 5 di 450 mt. con il green, da qui il nome, su un'isola attorniata da acqua. Nervi saldi e tecnica. Buona fortuna!!!
L'altra buca simbolo è la 9, denominata "Le anatre" proprio perché, par 3 di circa 150 mt, obbliga a volare tutto il lago per atterrare sul green...incute timore ed è sfida allo stato puro.
Il campo si distende su pendii dolci, il paesaggio attorno è stupendo, ma quando si ha il bastone in mano è meglio restare concentrati.
In sintesi, il campo è bello, impegnativo e bisogna giocare bene per portare a casa lo score.
La cub house ha un pro shop piccolo, ma fornito di tutto il necessario, in segreteria la signorina che ti accoglie è molto cordiale e la piscina, di fronte al ristorante, aggiunge una possibilità in più, per dare qualità al tempo passato a I Girasoli.

In Piedmont, fantastic area at north west Italy, there are many amazing golf courses.
Closed to Turin, at Carmagnola, there is the GC I Girasoli an informal golf club perfect to play golf, spend some quality time with friends or, if you have more days, be guests of the hotel on site, originally an old farmhouse.
A key factor is the restaurant, tavern style, synonymous of good italian food, to enjoy typical dishes from the region, run by young, nice and friendly guys. Excellent for a fast lunch, is also superb for a longer dinner, after a day of golf.
The course: 18 holes, par 71. The fairways are natural and qualitative, the green are very good, on different levels and to walk at the next hole with just 2 putts is a good result.
Water is pretty everywhere and sometimes you have to accept to loose the ball.
The symbol holes of the I Girasoli are the 6, called "The island", a 450 mt. par 5 that ends on a green surrounded by the water. Good luck!!!
The other one is the 9, a 150 mt. par 3 called "The ducks", with a lake that covers all the distance and constrains to fly all the distance to land on the green...scaring hole!!!
The course is on the hills, the landscape around is amazing, but when you play, it's better to stay concentrated.
The overall perception of the holes is top, challenging and you have to play consistently to score low.
The club house has a little pro shop, with all the necessary, a lady welcomes you in the right way and the pool, in front of the restaurant, is a added value.
