Open d'Italia 2013 e 2014, campioni come Francesco ed Edoardo Molinari che nascono in questo circolo.
Basterebbe questo per capire che stiamo parlando del Circolo Golf Torino, uno dei campi più belli d'Italia.
Il contesto è il Parco La Mandria, dove sorge tra l'altro la Reggia di Venaria Reale, uno degli spot turistici più prestigiosi del torinese e d'Italia.
Sullo sfondo le Alpi e il campo, 36 buche, è disegnato tra boschi secolari, mantenuti con particolare attenzione nei confronti dell'eco-sistema locale.
Il campo provato è il percorso blu, quello dell'Open d'Italia, che quest'anno si giocherà dal 28 al 31 agosto.
I fairway sono curati in maniera maniacale, rasentano la perfezione, sono stretti ed è meglio centrarli, altrimenti il secondo colpo diventa difficile.
Alla 1 infatti succede proprio questo...e arriva subito un doppio bogey. Come dirmi "Benvenuto!!!"
Non importa, è il campo dell'Open, è la prima volta sul percorso e quindi non mi aspetto certo uno score "alla Molinari".
I green sono veramente belli, difficili e ci vuole qualche buca per abituarsi alle pendenze e alla velocità, piuttosto alta.
Le buche si susseguono in un silenzio "lunare" e, tra un colpo e l'altro, capita di vedere scoiattoli che ti osservano e a volte sembrando che scuotano la testa, in caso di flappettina o slice. Tra gli alberi si scorgono le Alpi e la giornata è talmente limpida, che sembra di poterle toccare con un dito.
Il circolo è veramente ottimo, non a caso è da anni uno tra in primi 5 campi in Italia e uno dei top in Europa.
Se risiedete in questa parte d'Italia, ve lo consiglio, ma la stessa cosa vale se arrivate da lontano, abbinato a qualche giorno per scoprire le bellezze storiche di una città come Torino.
Per dormire ci sono tante soluzioni nel capoluogo piemontese, oppure, per stare vicino al circolo, il Relais Bella Rosina è un'ottima alternativa 4 stelle.

The Italian Open 2013 and 2014, and champions as Francesco and Edoardo Molinari coming from this golf club, could be enough to understand we’re talking about the Circolo Golf Torino, one of the best golf course in Italy.
The place is 20 minutes from Turin, in the famous Parco La Mandria, where the amazing Reggia di Venaria, turistic hotspot in the area, stands.
The background is designed by mother nature and the Alps play the major role.
The course is a 36 holes, in the middle of a ancient forest, with a special attention to the natural balance of the ecosystem.
Trying the blue course, the Italian Open one (August the 28 - 31), you notice immediately the top quality fairways, practically perfect. You better shot there, because the rough is quite punitive.
In fact, at the hole 1, tee-shot on the right and double bogey, just to say me welcome.
Doesn’t matter, it’s the Italian Open course, first time here and I’m not expecting to play “the Molinari way”.
The greens are really challenging, on different levels and you need some holes to adapt it.
The holes come in a “lunar” silence and between the shots happens to meet some squirrels that seems are watching you shaking their heads after a fat shot or a slice.
Sometimes, between the trees, the Alps pop up and the day is so sunny, that seems to touch them with one hand.
The Torino Golf Club is really the best you can imagine and for this reason it’s, since years, one of the top 5 golf courses in Italy and one of the best in Europe.
Come here to play golf and enjoy the city of Turin for some days.
